Most of my formative training is in classical ballet. As a comprehensive set of guidelines, technique is a framework in which I find groundedness. I also believe its boundaries are meant to be challenged and its edges removed or reshaped.
Much of my approach is seeded in something outside of dance: in philosophical questions, the emotional charge of music, xxxxxx. I believe the integration of artistic and scholastic disciplines can reveal new languages with which to expand perspectives and explore complexity.
Dance covers a lot of ground for me: performer, creator, guide, collaborator.
I was born in California, raised in New England, and am most at home xxx.
